THX nochmal.

@halfling
Has this modification been tested once? I'am wondering, because according your diagramm you connect RIGHT, LEFT, DOWN direct to ground. That means as soon as you connect the modified crazy hit controller to your PS2, the Pop'n Music main menu starts to scroll continuously. How should this work?

yup, it had been tested. several of our members have already modded their controllers in this manner.
and what senbei-sama said is right, you have to connect those 3 buttons to ground, in order to have popn recognise the controller.
Pop 'n music controller
B D F H
A C E G I
A = L2 (white)
B = L1 (yellow)
C = LEFT (green)
D = UP + DOWN (blue)
