All of the 'big name' songs are sound alikes recorded by wavegroup. All of the unlock songs are the originals from the bands themselves. While it would be nice to use the original tracks in all cases, there are quite a few problems with doing it that way. First, and formost, is cost. We'd have shipped with maybe 2 songs if we had licenced the original performances, and that wouldn't have been very much fun. Second is that the original masters arn't allway usable (bounced tracks), or even still in existence. The technology to resurect Jimmy Hendrix so we could re-record the tracks onto fresh masters is also still very experimental, and we didn't want to risk it before it's ready. We've allready lost a ton of Stevie Ray's DNA in early tests.. And then there was the Elvis incident, which I won't get into right now.. egh..

Sillyness asside, when I arrived at Harmonix I was simply amazed at how close many of the songs sound coming from wavegroup. It also allowed us to tweak out the finer points of the songs and the mix to provide better gameplay.

Es liegt also am Geld oder daran, daß die Originalbänder nicht mehr existieren/verfügbar sind, daß nicht die Originalsongs verwendet wurden.

Frequency und Amplitude waren Spiele die von Sony beauftragt wurden, die haben etwas mehr Geld als RedOctane...

Hmmz... bin seit dem Video Review das wir bei Schmichel gesehen haben auch schon die ganze Zeit am überlegen, ob ich nicht ordern soll. Aber wenn, dann natürlich auch gleich mit 2 Gitarren....

Hab gestern schon das 2 Gitarrenpack im Warenkorb gehabt, und dann im letzten Moment doch noch gekniffen. Wird zeit das es beim Schmichel ankommt. Hat sonst noch wer bestellt?

Hmm... ich glaub morgen zum Frühstück gibts den Gamespot Review, und danach den Order-Button bei Red Octane.

Da war ich doch vorhin drauf und dran. Und dann sehe ich ... 50 (in Worten fünzig) Dollar versand... na super... insgesamt dann 136 Euro netto. Na schönen Dank - ich glaube das verkneife ich mir vorerst.

Erst warens bei mir USD 15 Versand, dann per Mail auf 50 erhöht.

Habs gegancelt, dann aber einfach 2 Taiko Controller dazugepackkt und trotzdem bestellt *g*
