The first Abuchan will allow 15 people to take part in a guided tour of the Japanese Exhibition in the Van Gogh museum in amsterdam. The price of joining the tour will only be 10 euros, invluding the entrancee fee of the museum.

After the tour you're free to visit the rest of the Van Gogh museum to enjoy the inspiration Van Gogh had from early japanese art which is visible in some of his work.

At the end of the day we can enjoy a beverage or two at the museum cafe and/or enjoy dinner in the city before going back home (at your own cost).

More information on how to register for Abuchan can be found at: http://www.abunaicon.nl/abuchan.php

See you at Abuchan!

Klar, ich fahre mal eben nach Amsterdam um bei einer Ausstellung mitzumachen bei der eh nur 15 Leute mitmachen können (wo man wahrscheinlich alleine auch hineingehen kann). ;)

Bericht Abuchan

Beitrag von Ti »

Hi,

ist ist der Bericht:

Quelle: Abuchan

Twelve people registered for the guided tour and we were at the Van Gogh museum just after 13:00 hours to get the tickets in advance. Some people took the early train and were there with us, some were slightly later due to some train delays. Just slightly after 14:00 we could start with the tour since everyone was present.

The tour explained much about the exhibition and also the background of the type of art which was shown. All pieces shown in the museum were not created for the Japanese market, but for the western market. The guide also showed how this is visible in some of the work. Some early works were mainly influenced by Japanese art, some later work shows a more western setting and theme. Also the different types of craftsmanship were explained in how the art was actually created. Offcourse next to the explanation of the art I personally (Jeroen Broekhuijsen) found the art breathtakingly beautiful.

After the tour we obviously explored the rest of the museum. Just after 16:00 we gathered again and set out to have a few drinks at the museum cafe. Offcourse after an investigation of the museum shop. Since everyone was having a good time and enjoyed the museum and talk we decided to have dinner (daghap) in a small cafe at the Dam.

All in all Abuchan has definately been worth it.
